National Capital Cat Show

I made a series of portraits at the National Capital Cat show back in 2008 and I went again this year to add to the collection.  I suppose you could say cat show portraits are a sort of hobby of mine.  They tickle all the right parts of my brain.  I also learn neat cat facts when I go.  Last time I learned that the Maine Coon is the largest breed of house cat and is approximately the size of a cocker spaniel (at least as far as I could eyeball it) and this time I learned that the sphinx cat (the hairless wonder that you may remember from Austin Powers as Mr. Bigglesworth) is prone to drop dead of heart failure.

Hardcore cat show people are at least as interesting as their beloved felines.  Big thanks to all my subjects- your passion is inspiring.
